Rolf Method of Structural Integration

The Rolf Method of Structural Integration is a form of therapeutic bodywork that works with the body's connective tissue. Through deep-tissue techniques and interactive movement, this method re-educates the body and raises one's awareness about how to be in harmony within the field of gravity. Less concerned with symptomology, and more aligned with wellness, Structural Integration seeks optimal wholeness between all of the body's parts around a central vertical axis (plumb line). By building supportive connections throughout the entire system, the mind/body/spirit as a whole can find equilibrium with balance and ease. In this way, "symptoms" tend to resolve.

While it's possible to receive benefit from one or a few sessions, integrating the body is a process, and usually a series of treatments are required for complete and lasting results. We advocate the traditional Ten-Series, developed by Dr. Ida Rolf: www.rolfmethod.com

Structural Integration benefits people of all ages with varying conditions, and can assist with:

* athletic performance

* childhood development

* chronic pain/tension

* scoliosis/postural problems

* recovery from surgery/injury

* mental/emotional wellness

* overall physical/spiritual health

Results vary from person to person, but many people have experienced feeling lighter, more open, and balanced as posture and stability improve; greater energy and vitality as pain and discomfort are reduced; and a sense of well-being and expanded awareness of self and of life as a whole.
